A concert hall that can be attributed with the name of Colston Hall in the city of Bristol can be located on Colston Street. The hall has the capacity to seat approximately 2075 people and is one of the most popular venues for different kind of entertainment.
The venue started operating as a concert hall in the year 1867 but since then it has seen many fall outs. In the year 1898, a major fire destroyed some of the vital parts of the hall and even the auditorium suffered enormous structural damage. It has seen many openings and closures since then and finally it opened in the year 1951 to mark the Festival of Britain.
The computerised system was installed in the year 1983 and in the year1999; the hall has seen a major development when removable seats were installed in front-half of the hall. Now the audience can dance and move around freely during pop shows and it also increases the capacity as with people standing more people can be taken inside if need arises.
