How To Give UAC In Window Vista?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

You can turn UAC on or off most easily in Vista by finding the "User Accounts" object in your Control Panel - Typically, control panel is found under "Start | Control Panel" or "Computer | Control Panel" at the bottom of the left pane.

If you are in classic view, simply open "User Accounts" and click the link to "Turn User Account Control on or off". If you are not using "Classic View", select "User Accounts", click "Go to the main User Accounts Page" then click the link to "Turn User Account Control on or off".

If you want to have UAC turned off, clear the check box that says "Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer".

Generally, if you are unsure of what you are doing, don't have anti-virus, go to questionable sites, don't use a firewall, you really should not disable UAC.
