Does An Outboard Boat Motor Leave An Oil Deposit In The Water?

Answer Question

If it is 2 stroke yes.

2 stroke engines burn a mixture of gasoline and motor oil. So their exhaust will have a certain amount of oil in it, this oil will probably end up on the water.

To make things worse some outboards release the exhaust gases in the water. Oil will just get to the water quicker this way.
