Full marks for detail! Have you heard the phrases: "Its stormy over Will's mother's" and "going around Will's mother to get to Joe's Aunt". These both refer to Crown Princess Victoria, who was the mother of Kaiser Wilhelm, who eventually went to war against England in the First World War. She was also the Aunt of the Emperor Franz Joseph of Austria.
