I wonder if there is osme truth behind the dr. Taking it off before we can see it! I have an ability that scares me sometimes but have had it since I was a child! My grandmother and my great grandmother were born with the veil and they both are witches and can also see things! My almost 2 year old daughter can def see things but i had a c-section and could not see when they pulled her out if there was anything near her face! I wonder if the ability can be passed down gerneration to generation?

I was born with a veil over my face!!  My grandmother always told me that I was suppose to be able to predict things and see things that no others could see.  I mother died when I was 8 and I knew she was going to die soon,  We were grocery shopping and I saw her clearly in a coffin.  I also saw my cousin's face in the middle of the night......we got a phone call the next morning that he had been hit by a car and died.  I don't tell anyone all of this..they think we make it up.....love to talk to some of you!!!

I was born with a veil over my eyes in 1958.  When I was younger, I saw spirits all of the time.  Different types of spirits.  My family has become accustomed to my different ways.  I have always felt deja vu.  I always feel intense sadness days before someone I love dies.  I cry uncontrollably.  I am a hydrophobic.  I cannot swim.  My life is so different, that people always tell me to write a book.  I don't try to refine my gift.  This is the first time I googled it.  But, I now know there are others like me out there.  And I don't feel so alone.  I don't think there is anything to do.  It is a gift.  It cannot be returned.

Im 22 years old born september 5th 1993 i was born with a veil , so was my mother ... My grandma has always told me i was born with a veil but i never knew exactly what that meant . My grandma , my mother and I are all deathy afraid of deep water . its our biggest fear , just about the only thing i can truly say im scared of... idk why or why this fear of not being able to swim has been passed down 3 generations ... i have almost drowned several times but some how make it out each time ... i get made fun of over it.. But besides that , My whole life ive felt a sense of protection over me . Im socially awkward because ppl just dont unerstand me ... some ppl are literally just out to get me it seems . Ive had alot of dreams come true since i was a little girl and my mother too. Some times me my sisters ,grandma and mother all dream of similar things .. or can feel when somthings about to go wrong . I can sense good spirits and bad ... im usually not to afraid of them because i have god on my side

I was born with a veil and all my life I have had visions (I guess you can say). Sometimes it's clear other times it's really vague. Sometimes I just have a bad feeling or smell something that's not their but later makes sense. I knew when my grandmother was going to die. I had a bad feeling, then a dream that night and I smelled her in the morning. I rushed right to her but by then she was already passing when I got there. Then months before my sister twins were born I knew that one would not survive. At that time she had just found out she was pregnant and that she was having twins and she asked me how I felt about it... Growing up with me she knew sometimes I just know. The only thing I could tell her when she asked was that I only seen one name (this bothers me to this day and probably for the rest of my life. I loved and miss my niece very much) and that it wasn't good. When the babies were both born (at about 6 months) they both fought for their lives but only one survived. At times I believe I can read minds (for lask for a better term). I just know what someone is thinking or as they think about it silently I say it out loud and they want to know how I know. I just know. My whole life I have had stuff like this happen. I can feel a evil or good presents. I don't know how I know but again I just know. My great great grandmother was known to have abilities (her abilities sound more like magic), my great grandmother had abilities (she is still alive and we have seen them but again magic and what I have.), my grandmother had bad feeling but passed when I was young, and my mother has never shown any ability but her sister has a lot of what I have and is very accurate. The have always told me I was different because of that. I don't know if it's that or just something people can tap into (being open minded). It does scare me sometimes but you learn to deal with it and use it to your advantage. If you have a bad feeling after ignoring it and having problems you learn to just recognize it.

I was born Sept 19, 1984. I was born with a veil. My mother was born with a veil and I also think my brother and sister was too. As a child I will always feel not wanted. I was always feel upset at things  and didn't know why. But now that I'm 25 years old and going to church every sunday. God has blessed me with this gift!! Smile! I knew it was something about me, but I couldn't understand it. As time passes by in my life. I  think back at things in my past and say to my self.  Everything in life happens for a reason. God put us here for a reason. Now that I'm older now and can understand my life and my well being of having the best gift in the world. I'm still trying to learn how to use it. A lot of time I can see things before it happens. Sometimes I dream about something and it end up being real. I can see things like spirits. I can tell if a person have a good or bad spirits. I lot of people tell that I'm blessed and I'm always having good luck coming to me. So if you are born with a veil be blessed!!! Thank god for using you to help other and to do his well. Hello, I was born on Thanksgiving Day Nov-28th-1940 and I was born with a veil over my face, my mom was not born with one. When I had my first daughter Terri she was born with a veil over her face. My second daughter Candace the doctors never said if she was or not. But in my life time I have had a lot of diffent things happen to me. I new the day my grandma died, I was sitting next to the phone that evening when it rang,I couldn't answer it, my mom came in the living and ask me why I didn't answer the phone, and I told her it was a call from Texas that she was dying, and I just got up went to my bedroom and cried,I knew I was going to miss her so much. But as I was in my room, I could feel my grandma and almost hear her say that everything is all right and not to be sad, I know she was with me right hen, my mom was packing and her sister to be there before she past, the phone rang again and this time before she answer it I told her that they didn't have to hurry, because she already past away, my mom and Aunt use to always tell me I was gifted.I have had a lot of things happen that I new was going to happen, but when I was told that a family member was going to die, and my Dad died I just didn't want nothing to do with this gift I had, so I pushed it away, and now I would love to beable to do more with it now. I am really trying with gods helped, he knows what I need. I will have my daughter Terri tell you her exper.I really think I was lucky to be born with a veil.  Jenny

I was born with a caul also. My great-great grandmother, my grandfather and a person I call my guardian angel whom I can not track as family, A man called Jonathan from the late 1800's all have come to talk to me. It used to scare me when I was young, but now I treasure my gift. Teach your daughter how to channel her gift constructively and to help people whenever she can. Tell her she is special and that her gift gives her the capacity to excercise unconditional love always. God Bless, BF

m a firm believer in god but i strongly wanna believe in reincarnation for some reason being born with a veil i feel like ppl seek me out about there past lives i also feel like ppl that have passed on try to tell me things and follow me .. i believe i drowned in a past life or something because of my fear of deep water, But then im supposed to be immune to drowning... I also feel like good and bad spirits some how get into my friends and loved ones for brief periods of time and then next thing u know there back to normal and dont even remember the convo we just had ... My family believes we were cursed some where along the line . I feel like god is gonna help me break this curse ... even tho lots of evil ppl and things try to distract me from god and hurt me .... Im brutally honest about evrything even my flaws i cant lie very well even when i try ppl know lol

My great-grandmother told me that she, and I, had been born with a veil over our faces. She told me this when I was around 9 years old or so. She explained that being born with the "veil" over ones face was a blessing and that it meant that you were "gifted" and "different" from others. She also explained to me that there were women in her family that had been considered "witches" because of this and certain abilities they possessed and had even been burned by stake because people didn't understand where these abilities where coming from and considered these women to be into witchcraft. I had ALWAYS chucked this tale up to be some nutty story that my great-grandmother made up in her mind. She was older and dementia was being to settle in.... Today is the first that I had ever actually heard that others have heard this too. I just happened to look it up... And am very surprised. Since I was little, I have always believed myself to be "different", as far back as I can remember. I have had many experiences. These experiences are random and not done at will, like many wish to believe. For example, exactly one week before it had occured, I had a dream prediction of the Tsunami, as real as it had occured. Hmmmmmmm

My name is Lacey (a female) and I was born in 1991, with a veil over my face. I too feel things around me a lot. I used to get scared unconditionally, and even start sweating, but I now have more control over how these presences make me feel. I also have had about 3 encounters with "predicting the future" but they were really small. My mother wasn't born with a veil over her face, but she does indeed have multiple psychic encounters, and doesn't fear evil at all. My grandmother was told that it represents wisdom and being full of the Lord.

Your experiences sound very simular to mine...i too was born with a veil and my mother was not, but seems to be"tuned in" to seeing and feeling spirts too. I now am 39 years old and have lived with seeing visions in my life that would scare the pants off a normal person. I am constantly on a quest to seek answers to my experiences. I have several people tell me my house is haunted by a man ghost, and have seen him first hand, but i have never seen him but i do feel his presence a lot.

My great grandma was born with a veil and she possessed the ability to know when things were going to happen. She saved my grandma's life one day. My grandma was going to go on an out of town motorcycle trip with her boyfriend. She told my grandma the day of that she didn't think she should go, that something wasn't right. My grandma ended up not going. That night a semi sideswiped my grandma's boyfriend.
I myself wasn't born with a caul. But I've been told by those I meet that I have a very old soul. And if I get a gut feeling about something, it's always right. I've had dreams that actually happened later in life, and serious cases of deja vu. I also have always felt as though I'm from a different time...could my great grandma's gift have been passed on, even though I never met her and wasn't born with a caul???

Hello..My great grandmother was born with it..They said that she had great gifts...I don't think that she thought of them as gifts...They said that she was able to see the future..Reading cards and things she learned to use them..She had dreams repeatedly until they would happen..She knew who was calling before they did so...They also said that she could communicate with the died...They said that she would pick spirits up,and they would be with her for months and she would try every thing to get them to leave her..She would talk to them plead with them to leave her be...I'm sure she even learn to ignore them...I don't know how she ever got rid of them, if she ever did...I know that if a person has a gift, its just like anything else in life.If you choose to acknowledge it,you can learn to use it,and the more you practice it.. The more Clear it will become...But always be careful, and think hard about the things you ask for...I know that at the end of her life she tried to find god...Because even though she could see more than you and I..She had missed something Vittel for her soul.

I was born with this coul I do sometimes know thing that are about to happen it is a feeling.
As a child I did not know how to stop the flow of feeling. As I have aged with prayer I can see the good or bad of things. I am able when I see people to know of illness or death within 2 months of it happening to them. I try hard not to see or feel these things. It can not be turned on off at will. If I am to know it, it will come to me anyway.

I was born in 1954 and my mother told me I was born with a veil over my face. Last year I experienced the spirits of 3 people and I am still not sure
what it was they wanted or who they were. It came to a point where I felt afraid to fall asleep wondering what my night's rest would be like. I do know it was the spirit of 2 men and a lady and I still feel like they are still around. One night after I fell asleep I could hear myself telling them (the spirits) to leave me alone. I prayed and and got my Bible out for extra protection from these spirits. It's good to read that others experience some of the same things I have been going through.`I try not to dwell on this but continue on and know that God is my protector.

The veil that you speak of is actually a "Caul". A piece of thin veil that certain children are born with. It just so happens that certain babies when born are not separated from the mother's womb which covers their faces as a thin membrane. Some are born with a full facial caul and others with cauls extending to the cheekbones, which is why it gives the effect of a veil. Its an ancient old wives tale, laced with rich superstition that such children are born with special abilities and are singled out for special purposes. It was believed that the caul should always be protected for if it is lost the child would be cursed and it would give the child the ability to divine beyond life and death besides protecting them from drowning. Sailors used to purchase those veils and wear them around their neck to bring good luck. But that's just what it is, an old wives tale.

Greetings, my mom, I was told was born with a half veil over her face and I have found it to be true that she could see things before it happened and she had premonitions and alot of her dreams were exact!!!! So, I say...... Old wives tale, to me, not!!!! It was so powerful that she knew exactly when people would die!!!!!! She was very "blessed" and "touched" by God! She shared also with me that it was so powerful that she asked GOD to take it away from her. I am sad to say she has passed away!

I know someone who can see dead people and they describe it as having a veil over their eyes because that's what their parents told them it was. They can see dead people and hear them. It's the strangest thing. They say that the dead people they see are real as you and me...that they are like regular people who are wandering around with no place to go - like they just refuse to rest or something. Some seem to not know that they are dead or to be in the strongest/strangest of denial about it. Others know that they are dead and want the person with the veil over their eyes/who can see and hear them to do things for them, like go and tell a particular person that they're sorry for something they did, etc. They can be very annoying/insistent/haunting with this request, too. This person I know with the veil over their eyes is completely spooked by it. Who wouldn't be?
The key takeaway I got from knowing someone with "a veil over their eyes" and being able to talk to them about it and ask them  questions about it is that we are never alone. Just because you can't see something does not mean it's not there. Just like electricity, radio waves, and television frequencies, Dead people are around us all the time and see what we are doing when we think no one (but God) can see it >>> ANDDDDDDDDD they share what they see with the person(s) with a veil over their eyes....as if in a normal conversation. Ex: "Your daughter is upstairs fornicating, right now. She is very pretty. When she takes her clothes off...Oh man, she's gorgeous!" Spooky, right? But good to know, nonetheless. How differently (more dignified) would we conduct ourself if we knew a dead perv, or a dead wholesome person, or our dead parents/grand parents, or any dead loved one, or anyone dead who knew us, could see it? Surely we would be more righteous, noble, godly, or thoughtful, at least, in our living. Perhaps thats why we are warned to live a life that we will not be ashamed to show to the whole world...because they CAN see it. Whether you can see them watching it or not, they can see it. When we pass, we just pass over into a realm/existence where we're only seen by people who have "a veil over their eyes". Faith = the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). Just because you can't see something does not mean that it's not there.
Spooky, I know. But when we die, we'll see what I'm talking about. In the meantime, take a look at 1 Samuel 28:3-15 in the Bible. Some people can bring just about anybody from the dead, even according to the Bible.          Selah

I was born in 1972 with a veil. My mother said the doctor held me up and showed me to everyone saying "look at this baby, look at this baby, she's got a veil" He told her that it meant I was special and gifted. My mother also has red hair, which back in the day was supposed to mean you were a witch. I was also told that being born with a veil was a sign that there is a history of witches in your geneology. I am gifted with psychic abilities, I can feel the presence of certain deceased relatives, I can also smell certain scents of deceased relatives, I used to tell my mother, when I was younger, things that were going to happen, or things that already did happen that she didn't know about until someone told her. The only thing I do not like about it is that I have been riddled with anxiety since I was 14 years old. I have anxiety/panic disorder, I'm deathly affraid of deep water, and I've only ever been under water maybe twice in my entire life! Whatever the case may be, whether it means gifted and good luck, or witchcraft, I have something! I hate the sun and hot weather, I love it when it rains & storms, and is cool. Maybe there is something to this whole witch thing after all. Who really knows....

I was born with a veil over my face. I have seen a lot of things in my life, and so did the person that was with me at that moment, who was not born with a veil. I say that maybe the veil is a spiritual connection to insight, but maybe its not. I am not a scientist, but an observer of life and the different things that I have experience in this life. I will share that I have sensed a lot of things about people and the majority of the times I am right. However, we all judge people and things so, does that mean we all are born with veils, or are we looking for a reason that explains our way of cooping and thinking?

I was bon with a veil over my face and my  grandmother helped teach me about who I was. I don't like being called a medium/psychic, I consider my self a visionary. I have been members at Spirtualist churches in Minnesota and Ohio. I don't like to say I have a gift because once you learn about why you were born with a veil and what it means you know that all people can go to God and learn about themselves. I am glad that this discussion is being talked about because a lot of people don't understand.

When I was about 18 I was told that I look just like my deceased great-grandmother. My grandmother then explained to me that she feels like the reason I look so much like her is because I share her gift. I too was born with a veil over my face. I am 27 now and I have seen things over the years that some people just don't believe. I saw my deceased grandfather who passed before I was born. I have also seen a man's ghost in my grandmother's house, not to mention a horribly disfigured creature right before a death. I used to be afraid of my gift but now at 27 I have learned to embrace it.

I was born with a veil over my face in November of 1966. My grandmother said that it was a gift and that I would always be able to "read people" and see things that others did not. I am a very good judge of character and when I was very small, I could tell my mother the phone was going to ring and it did. This really freaked she and my father out. I feel that maybe it is a gift but it is also kind of scary sometimes.

Hi, I was not born with a veil but my aunt was. People have said it' s thin like an onion peel (the see through skin you throw away sometimes). She heard and saw spirits of dead people. One place I remember they had to move because this old man walked around with his hand on her shoulder. I have had encounters with what I call ghost. I have been touched, felt the cold go by me, smelt my mothers cologne after she was dead for several years. Doors slamming, banging on the walls, lights on when they were off. Ceiling fans, the t.v changing channels or just turn off; we had 5 tvs and they all did it at times. Chess pieces moved. I found a house in north carolina that has ghost and I want to go visit been told that I was welcome but I am afraid one or more of the spirits will follow me home. That has happened before does anyone know how to prevent this. Thanks elizabeth- s.c.

The Psychic Sylvia Browne has solutions for your dilema. She has books about such things that you can borrow from the library. On one of her shows I think she said to light a pink candle and say in the name of the father...you know like they do in the Catholic church and to tell the spirit it is dead and to go into the light,or something along that line.I used to watch her on the Montel show, but you may be able to find it on HULU if you have access to the net. So mote it be.

Not sure if my son was born with a veil or not.....thou I have been told he was.... By the age of one my son was seeing things. I mean he was seeing things that I could not see. He would just point, cry loudly, and hold me very tight with his head down; peaking ever so often and would not let me go. Sometimes he'll do this to people or where no one was...He is three now and he haven't did this in about a year...I'm very lost...I do believe in my heart that he is special...

I wasn't born with a veil but my sister was.  She always sees spirits, good as well as bad.  She don't be scared or anything.  My mother in law passed and I didn't call her and she called me saying that she just saw her (my mother in law) she also have feelings when something is going to happen or when something is in the room with her.  This been going on for as long as I can remember.  I'm used to it.

Yes I have my father would tell people that I was born in a bag and my mother have told me that I was born with a veil for years I never knew what they were talking about never gave it a second thought. But I have notice that while growing up(I'm 48 now)that I suffer deja vu (when you feel that you've seen or have been there before.I know when it happen because everything around me stops and gets quite no matter where I'm at, or whom with it just happen at the drop of a hat and I recognize everything,so I don't know if I'm living the past or see the future,or living the future and seeing the past, and at time I do feel safe and protected no worries no fears.(not crazy, but no fears)

I was born in 1958 with a full veil,my mother put it in a jar and told me when I was quite young to bury it for luck , I was also told it is sot after by sea captains and sewn to the mast of ships to bring the crew luck. I do possess an ability to see things others can't and do like to dabble in the arts and in palm reading and tarot cards , I am deathly afraid of water , and my big secret I talk to the dead they don't answer but I know they hear me.

I was born in 1930 with a veil over my face. My mother said it should be kept safe between the pages of a Bible. She said it was a sign of good fortune and that I would never die from water or fire. However, my mother became very angry with the nurse at the maternity home where I was born, and the nurse burned the veil. This was supposed to cause me bad luck. I have had a good life. I do not see spirits. I have, however, become upset and greatly concerned about a friend or relative without knowing why. When I have contacted them, I learned that the friend or family member has experienced an injury or death.

My husband was born with a veil on his face. He has always been able to see those that were once alive, and those who never were. Now he is dying. It gets worse for him everyday. The closer you get to death, the more you see. Now I have to find a way to see. For after....

I was born in 1992, with a veil on my face and actually was just told this from my father. I looked into it and heard all the myths and beliefs but I never seen spirits, or felt anything that I seriously thought was a ghost. I do believe in these things; however none of them have happened 2 me.

By a veil over the eyes, what do you mean? It sounds odd that you say this, please leave a comment about what you are talking about and I will try to help you out.

There must be something to the veil because I'm told I was born with one.  In my teens I would get a tight feeling in my chest when some one was going to die.  When my brother walked into my bedroom and told me Papa had just died the tightness just left.  But it felt like it took flight.  It just flew away.

One day after school this boy was standing beside me and when I looked up at him he looked frozen...I mean stiff like a statue.  I had been having dreams of a big black train.  One night I was on one side of the track and was behind this boy riding a bike with no brakes.  He was dragging his feet to make it stop. I remember feeling panicky.  The next time I was on the other side of the track and I saw the boy approaching the tracks.  Maybe a week later after seeing him at the bus stop I learned he was killed by a train.

I can see spirits good and bad.  I was walked home late one night by an angel.  I was being attacked (squeezing my heart painfully) by a demon who didn't look like a monster (as you would imagine) and in my room I saw an angel attack him.  He tried to run.  I saw a disembodied spirit (which look something like a man's white handkerchief.)  It tried to..well, it did enter my body (thru my feet) as I lay in bed.  I guess it was the Holy Spirit who said if it reach your heart you will die..when I said "Our Father.."  it froze and began to tremble and traveled down my body very fast coming out at the feet and sped out into the hall. The Lords prayer is powerful.

There are so many other incidents I could tell you about but time and space won't allow it.  I am fully awake when these things happen to me.  The Holy Spirit has only once asked me to tell someone something.  I was too afraid to.  He gave me 3 Chances..no 4 chances for me meet up with this person to convey the message.  He has never asked me again to convey a message. He comes sometimes to chastise me.  I asked Him how will I know if it is truly Him..He said " you will know. " But how.. He said "You will know."  And before I could ask the 3rd time I felt a sprinkling of something raining down on me. Have Blessed Day

As strange as it may sound, this is a sign of a Generational Curse in a family caused by the practice of black majic at some point in the family history. This curse is usually passed on by the females in the family but can be passed to the males as well. It is very important that this child is baptised as early as possible and is raised to know christ as this will break the curse.

I was born in 55 with a black veil. The earliest vision was @ age 2, at the table with both parents I interrupted them to say they NEEDED TO CALL GRANDMA CAUSE PAPA WAS REAL BAD, after demanding a 2nd time , my mother headed to the phone to call. It rang 1st, it was Grandma & Papa was dying., My parents had been told by my father's grandmother, my Great Grandmother (100% Cherokee)of my birth long before I was ever in the picture. I know Christ as Savior & resent a Gift of prophecy called a curse
