The Sun radiates vast amounts of Energy and is the primary light source which fuels Earth's life engine and other Geothermal processes. The Heat radiation that Earth receives from the Sun is stored is trapped in it's atmosphere via this process called the Greenhouse effect and spreads it ubiquitously across Earth. The radiation from the Sun is utilized by the plants to break down carbohydrates in order to produce Oxygen and water vapors in the process through this process called photosynthesis. Since, in the ecosystem most animals rely on plants for their nutrition, the effects go a long way and all natural processes on Earth which makes it habitable for human beings is due to the Sun. Earth is at a suitable distance from the Sun which makes it neither too hot nor too cold, called the Goldilocks zone. The moderation that results from this interaction is what makes life possible on Earth. All of the elements that exist on Earth are originally produced in the stars. The Sun is the engine and hub around which all of the planetary processes revolve. Similarly, the weather cycles and the rain patterns are made possible by the heat radiation that Earth receives from the Sun.
