What Is The Plot Of The Film 'Dirty Dancing'?

The film is set in American in the nineteen fifties. A family, the Housemans are off visiting an old friend at the holiday resort that he owns. Baby Houseman, the youngest member of the family, an awkward girl, with limited sense of fun, a straight student type is initially amused by the attention she receives.

Slowly she begins to fall for a guy called Johnny, a dancer, who teaches private dance lessons at the resort. At night, the staff of the resort do a raunchy (for the time) type of dancing in their clubhouse, away from the eyes of the tourists. She starts an affair with him, but when his partner becomes sick when she has a botched abortion, she takes the partners place and Johnny and Baby dance together

Baby's dad thinks that Johnny got his partner pregnant and doesn't want him seeing his daughter. Johnny is fired but the end of the film is Johnny returning to dance with Baby in front of the tourists, in their own way. That's dirty dancing - Nobody puts Baby in the corner!
