Will My Insurance Pay For Labia Reduction Surgery?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

It depends on the extremity of the condition. If you just dont like the way it looks and want to change it, then It would be considered cosmetic surgery- and most insurance companies WONT pay for anything cosmetic- such as breast enlargements- botox- etc.

A lot of women that have had children complain of this problem, or complain of being "loose" due to having kids. (YES MEN, THIS CAN HAPPEN DUE TO CHILDREN, NOT BC A WOMAN IS A HUSSIE) It causes a prolapse of the vagina and can cause this "looseness" and can cause a change in sexual "stratification". (due to there being no friction to get plaesure.)

If on examination it is determined that your
condition is a medical necessity, then the insurance company will
usually bear SOME of the cost of surgery,
as well as the anesthesia fee, operating room expense and ancillary
services. Approximately 90% of patients going to surgery  will be able to utilize their insurance for SOME COVERAGE
of the costs of surgery. There is no way of knowing whether your
condition is considered a medical necessity unless you have a thorough
exam by a competent physician first. Most other vaginal rejuvenation
centers do NOT utilize insurance in any form or manner to help in the
payment surgery for the enhancement of sexual friction.
