What Should I Charge Working Children For Board And Lodging?

What is reasonable?

Answer Question

So much of this depends on how old your children are, how much they make, your own financial situation, if they have education loans to repay, etc.  A good rule of thumb would be a third of their income to cover their room and board.  I also think if you can save what they give you, that also would be an excellent idea.

Those with good jobs should pay a minimum of a third of their salary. The student should really not have to pay anything until the studies are over, then, when employed, a third.
