Do You Spank?

Of course not! Who would do such a horrible thing to their child?! My mother is a social worker and spanking your child is considered child abuse. You should rethink your methods of disciplining your child if you already spank them.

No! My mum is a social worker and it is a diabolical thing to do to a child. Leave them alone. Studies show that spanking harms your child both physically and psychologically.

Old school - we got spanked - and guess what - we turned out good!  We learned discipline, we learned respect, and we made something of ourselves.  I don't believe in beating a child - but once spanking in a lifetime can make a child turn out to be a fine outstanding citizen.
Today's kids have no respect - family values are right down the tubes.
In my day - you got "the look" and you knew you were in trouble.  Once you got "the look" you stood at attention.  You didn't need to get spanked then.

Well my Dad didn't smack-but still made sure i never went without a very sore bottom when i needed one!, he would lay me across his lap and with a small piece of sandpaper rubbed my bare bottom, hard, for about 20-30 seconds, wasn't bad at first but after a few minutes felt like my bum was on fire!!-VERY sore!. Then in the corner hands on my head saying "sorry Daddy" with my poor sore red burning like mad little bottom, waving it about to cool it down-never worked!!!. After half an hour he offered cream (which was so embarrassing having to poke my bare bottom out to my Dad at the age) but i gladly let him give it a good rub-anything to stop the stinging!, besides it was silly being shy he often saw my bare bum around the house!!. After i wanted a cuddle (as i loved him a lot) and was a good obedient girl so it worked a treat..i still follow him everywhere!!.
