Oh, man, I feel for you! It will eat all the paint that it comes in contact with, that's what this stuff is for, stripping paint.
You're going to have to get a paint job done to your car, sorry. I hope it wasn't too extensive. Good luck.

Paint thinner should not do anything to your paint we use it all the time at my shop to remove pin striping.
