Alopecia Areata refers to a disease that causes loss of hair from all over the body especially the scalp. Biotin is a B-complex vitamin and consists of vitamin H or B7 and its supplements are recommended for the treatment of hair loss. Usually it is recommended for seborrheic dermatitis and its effectiveness for Alopecia is not confirmed. However, it might be useful.
