What Exact Date Did The Vietnam War Start?

    If you are asking when did US first get involved, we sent "advisors" in to the country in 1958 to help the French. Escalated to small amount of troops in 1960, JFK was about to sign resolution not to commit any troops to conflict but was shot before he could sign it. Full scale involvement then enthusiastically promoted by Lyndon Johnson, which is why it is called LBJ's war. Want anymore info on it, let me know -spent 18 months there.
