Answer Question

Removing chewing gum from the wool can be pretty icky mess but it can be fixed easily. Rubbing a piece of ice on the affected place can harden the gum and later it can be scraped it off with a blunt knife. Then it is required to rub the area with a soft liquid detergent. Another way by which it can be removed is with the help of a stain remover. Using a spot remover can assist in removing the sticky gum or taking the wool to a cleaner for special dry treatment.

Before applying any stain removal it is always recommended to test it as a trial basis on a hidden corner to avoid damage to the garment. Hand wash in luke warm water with a dry cleaning solvent can also assist in removing the chewing gum from wool.
