My 9 Week Old Yorkie Has Diarrhea With Blood In It, What Might This Be?
I bought a 9 weeks old miniature yorkshire terrier yesterday. She has diarrhea with a tiny bit of blood in it . Does anyone know what might be the cause of this. Could it be stress or something else.

Hello Eileenq, You need to take your yorkie to the vet asap! It has a very bad tummy ache right now. I wouldn't wait to see if it gets any better, I had the same thing happen to my minature schnauzer, I waited to see if it was going to get better and it got worse fast. Your yorkie is might have a digestive tract infection. They will give you antibiotics and special food for it for about a week or so. good luck.

It attacks the lining of the intestines, allows bacteria it get into the entire body leading to sepsis. Treatment needs to be immediate and aggressive.
