Families visiting Norfolk County, England, will enjoy going to Wroxham Barns located in the Broads National Park. The barns are a large crafts type mall; visitors can view the many shops and unique gifts that are being offered for sale by local craftspeople. There is also a restaurant in which they can enjoy a hearty lunch in between checking out all of the displays.

Wroxham Barns was founded in 1982 when the owners decided to renovate a bunch of rundown barns and farm buildings into a centre in which local artisans could showcase their crafts.  With a £20,000 grant from the English Tourist Board in hand, the work started in January 1983 and they opened a few months later on May 24, 1983.  Since then, children's fun fair and junior farm were added to make the Wroxham Barns a true family attraction.

The barns are open daily from 10am to 5pm except for Christmas, Boxing and New Year's Day.  Admission to the barns and shop is free.  Admission to the junior farm is £3.50 for those aged three and over. Under three's go free.  There are no dogs allowed on the site unless they are guide dogs.  If you are planning on visiting in hopes that a particular craftsperson will be there, call ahead of time to confirm it.  Weather permitting, the children's funfair will run weekends between March 18 and October 29.  There are some height restrictions on certain rides and tokens must be purchased at Wroxham Barns, no exceptions.
