If A Person Has Crohn's, Will That Person Be Likely To Experience Chronic Vomiting Too?

It is unlikely that vomiting is a result of Crohn's disease. Since Crohn's disease does cause abdominal pain it is possible that vomiting results from this pain. Crohn's disease is the inflammation of the digestive or gastrointestinal tract. The disease can affect and cause inflammation anywhere from the mouth to the anus. Since the upper digestive tract can become sensitive as well, vomiting is possible. Crohn's disease however does occur predominantly in the lower intestinal region. It is however best to consult your medical practitioner for a proper diagnosis.
The symptoms of the disease include abdominal pain (predominantly towards the lower right), diarrhoea, arthritis, rectal bleeding, fever, skin problems, bleeding and resultant anaemia. The diagnosis of the disease is difficult as it is very similar to other intestinal ailments. Blood tests and stool samples will be taken and sometimes a colonoscopy is deemed necessary.

Yes, a person who is suffering from Crohn's disease is likely to experience chronic bouts of vomiting and also suffer from symptoms which are caused by intestinal stenosis. The most common symptom of Crohn's disease which is caused by intestinal stenosis is abdominal pain. It is particularly severe in the areas of the bowels and the stenoses.
In case of severe stenosis, vomiting and nausea may be the first signs of obstruction of the small bowels. Crohn's disease may also be associated with a condition which is known as primary sclerosing cholangitis. It is defined as a condition in which the bile ducts get inflamed.
In the rarest case of the oesophagus and the stomach being afflicted with Crohn's disease, the patient may also suffer from such symptoms as difficulty in swallowing, which is known in scientific terms as odynophagia, pain in the upper part of the abdomen and vomiting.

Another two problems that are common in people who have Crohn's are gallstones which if they block the bile duct can cause a lot of vomiting and the person usually becomes jaundiced. Which happened to me. I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease when I was sixteen and have since had to have my gallbladder removed. The other problem common to people with Crohn's Disease is kidney stones. These are more common to occur in someone with Crohn's disease because of the medications they are taking and because of the poor ability to digest all the nutrients in their food. Some of the nutrients like uric acid can go to the kidneys and form into a stone. These stones can then cause severe pain and a build up of toxins in your body which make you vomit frequently so that you will rid your body of these harmful toxins. Another common problem with someone with Crohn's Disease is that they are more prone to have acid reflux so what some people are actually having come back up and are throwing up is the acid from their stomach. This is easily treated with a medication like Omeprazole or Lansoprazole. I have acid reflux from my Crohn's Disease and I am on Omeprazole which has basically stopped me having the stomach acid keepcoming up which would cause me to vomit.
