What Does Memorial Mean?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

The word memorial can be used as an adjective and as a noun as well and when you are using it as a noun, it describes a statue or stone that is built so that people can remind some past events or a person who is very famous. Sometimes the word is also being used for any other thing that reminds people about some past event. You must have heard the term 'war memorial' that describes a kind of statue or a small build up that is made to remind us the exploits of our soldiers in the past.

When you are using the word as an adjective it can be used in the same context as that of the noun but while using it you should be careful as it can be used only before noun and not otherwise.
