What Time Did The Moon Rise On September 18, 2009?

Answer Question

On the west coast, the moon rose yesterday, about 6:35a.m.  This is a perfect example of what I've mentioned at other times when answering questions.  The moon stays in the sky 12 hours,  so it was up during the day, and set at approximately 6:35 p.m. Tonight, the 19th, it rose at 7:35a.m. And set at 7:35 p.m.  I always love to hear people say "Look!! The moon is in the sky and it's DAYTIME!!" Each day it rises and sets about an hour later until we won't see the moon in the night sky at all, i.e., it will rise at, say, 4:30 in the morning and set at 4:30 in the afternoon.  Those 9 to 5ers won't see the moon at all.  They be asleep when it rises, and still in their places of work, if inside, at 4:30 in the afternoon.  Blessings, and Praise the Moon; She watches over us all.
