The primrose oil will NOT cure the ringworm. Ringworm is a fungal infection NOT actually a worm. You need to use an anti-fungal cream on the patches. Ask your vet what the best one is to use, if you cant ask the vet, then go to a pet supply or a county co-op and ask... They carry over the counter medications and should be able to help you decide. Ringworm sometimes takes a couple weeks to go away. Good luck.

Rhyan is correct about the Blue Star ointment. Blue star can be used for Ringworm. but it is NOT an anti fungal. the main active ingredient is Camphor. Camphor when applied to the skin has a coolong effect and will sooth irritated skin. But it will NOT cure the Ringworm. The key words are Anti-Fungal you need to use an anti fungal medication to cure the ringworm. It will take a while for it to clear up.. Ringworm doesn't go away over night. If you're already using an anti-fungal, keep at it... you're probably making more progress than you realize. The only thing I can think the primrose might do is maybe ease the scratching... and that can also be accomplished with 1/2 benadryl tablet twice a day as needed. oh... and Rogue72, If you remember to rate the answers you receive you will get more answers. :)

Blue Star ointment usually does the trick.  You can find it at Walmart or drug store over the counter.
