The North and the South poles are the frigid and cold zones of the earth, with the predominant lansdscape being ice. These areas are home to enrmous chunks of ice some of them miles long and wide.

Over the years, with the increase in industrialization and urbanization, there has been a drastic increase in pollutants in the atmosphere, which has set off a harmful chain reaction. The final result of this chain of events is the possibility of the ice in the North and South poles melting.

If this happens, the results will be catastrophic. This ice is the source of water, and if it all melts, tremendous volumes of water will flow into the seas, causing the sea levels to rise. This is already happening, albeit slowly. Once the sea level rises beyond controllable levels, the entire castal region would be under threat of being submerged. This isa very real threat that could cause entire cities to disappear.
