Queenee22, I live in Phoenix also. When there is an emergency situation like yours, contact the Salvation Army or go there as soon as possible. Their emergency assistance phone number is 602-267-4130. There location is 2707 E. Van Buren - Phoenix. They will take you and your son. They probably won't be able to take your dog. The phone number for the Arizona Humane Society is 602-997-7586. Tell them your situation and ask if they can help by taking the dog until you can get back on your feet again. I work at a church in Phoenix and we assist with food and clothes for people in need. The main phone number is 602-707-5757 to schedule a meeting with one of our pastors. We also have a 24-hour prayer line and that number is 602-707-PRAY. I sincerely hope you can get the help you need right away because the high temperatures we've had in the last few days can be life-threatening. There are many shelters that you can go to. Do you have and family or friends that will help you out until you can get back up on your feet? I know it might be hard to ask, but at a time like this, you need to consider your son, and how he will have to deal with this. If you have a mailing address, you can apply for assistance, and they will help. I think it just means swallowing the pride for a little while, and accepting help from outside sources. How are you homeless but using the computer? Okay, since I believe in God, you should turn to the church. They probably can help you get back on your feet and find a job, then if you don't have a college education you can go and get one.

That's a great answer desertkid, you gave her info that she can really use. Now, I wonder if we can find an animal rescue in the area. Anyone know of one? I'm going to try to find one online.
