You have to wait for few more days because mating in dogs does not take place during first stage of heat period which is characterized by vaginal swelling and bleeding. This stage can last for 7-10 days. Mating will take place when bleeding will be ceased or reduced and she will show flagging. This is usually possible after 12-15 days of start of heat period.
