How Do You Reduce Miscarriages Due To Low Progesterone?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

My daughter-in-law had two miscarriages, each around the same time in her pregnancy.  After her second miscarriage, she went to her doctor for a complete physical and then began seeing a fertility endocrinologist.  They ruled out various factors or causes.  When she became pregnant the third time, her pregnancy was monitored closely by the endocrinologist with regular blood tests and ultrasounds for the first 8 weeks.  All was well again until week six when the hcg levels of the baby were good, but the progesterone level of the mother was beginning to go down.  The endocrinologist immediately prescribed natural progesterone vaginal suppositories.  Within two days, the progesterone levels began to go up and became normal.  Now, my daughter-in-law is 10 weeks pregnant.  All is well, and she switched to her OB/GYN at 8 weeks.  The best advice is to seek professional medical attention.  The treatment for low progesterone is simple, but you need a professional to get to the bottom of the problem and decide on the correct course of action.  Good luck...

Incase your miscarriage occurs anywhere around the first two weeks then it is more likely that is due to low progesterone levels. Some of the foods that you can eat in order to increase the progesterone levels are wild yam or chaste tree berry. Some of the other nutrients that could also possibly cause a miscarriage are due to zinc, vitamin E, and bioflavonoid. Try and avoid it as much as you can.

Some of the other reasons of miscarriage could also be due to stress, meagre diet, toxins, smoking, alcohol, hormonal disparity, disturbance, feeble uterine muscles, and various other problems.
