Does Waitrose Donate Money To Charity?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Waitrose strongly believes in charity and hence has launched the Waitrose Foundation. The trust was launched in 2005 and is involved in providing funds for worker facilities, education and health services. It also supports the fruit growing farmers in South Africa. They are the single supermarket to trade the Fairtrade bananas that are sourced from Windward Islands in St Lucia. Waitrose donates all of its profits and running costs to charity. Donations are distributed evenly by a user choosing from a set of various charities they want to donate to. Local decisions on which charity is to be supported, is made by the Waitrose branches performing individual donations. It is a British supermarket that first opened up in Acton Hill, West London.
