How Is Meditation Done?

What is the proper posture? What are you supposed to do when you meditate? Please help me I need to know!!!!!!

    One of the safest way is to take a[NOT LIT!!] candle and set it in front of you.Look at the candle with a relaxed mind.Close your eyes and try to SEE the candle in your mind.If you loose the thought that you start thinking about something else, OPEN your eyes again to look at the candle.After(staring) looking for a time that you can see the candle in your mind (don't think about anything else) CLOSE your eyes again to " SEE " the candle in your mind. Try to maintain the view of the candle in your mind for as long as you can.
    DON'T GET UPSET if you keep loosing the vision, take your time.
    Get back to me for phase !!.
    Do this only when there are no distractions (noise, people talk, etc. Etc.)
    I strongly suggest that you do this 3 times a day for about 1/2 hour each time. Follow my directions and don't over do it!!

      Different religions and mystical practice have different poses sitting cross legged is the most common sitting posture while mediating.

        It depends on the kind of meditation you want to do. For example: Yoga. You must sit in a way that your legs are upon each other and I think you know how is Yoga done. But if you want you can just sit the way you like and meditate something.

        Meditation is holistic relaxation excercises.

        Some meditation experts suggest thinking of your mind as a glass of muddy water and meditation helps bring clarity. Many forms of meditation result in the clearing of one's mind.
