Where Is Noordhoek, South Africa?

Noordhoek is in the South African city of Cape Town. It is one of Cape Town's suburbs. It is south of Cape Town, Camps Bay and Hout Bay. Cape Town international Airport is to the North East of the suburb. In the tongue of the Afrikaans the name Noordhoek says something like "the north corner".

Cape Town is located on the south west edge of the country of South Africa on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean.

From the suburb of Noordhoek till the South East village of Kommetjie there is a picturesque stretch of sandy beaches. The shoreline consists of broad beaches. The suburb is famous for its sandy beaches.  

Captain of the steamship "Kakapo" ran his ship aground at one end of the beach. This wreak exists to this day.
