    The capital of the South American country, Argentina is Buenos Aires. It is the largest city and the largest port in the country. It located in the southern part of South American on the beautiful shore of the Rio de la Plata. Buenos Aires is a beautiful city that is known for its unique architecture, landscapes, culture, and night life. It is a very advanced and sophisticated city. As the matter of fact, it is so sophisticated that many people consider Buenos Aires to be the "Paris" of South America.  In Spanish "Buenos Aires" means "Good Air". So, Buenos Aires is also known as the city of Good Air.  As of 2003, the estimated population was 13,349,000. The people who live with the Buenos Aires borders are known as Portenos. The word Portenos means people of the port.  Buenos Aires was the home of the famous writer Jorge Luis Borges.
