What Is The Difference Between A Web Service And A Web Site?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

A web server or Internet Service Provider (ISP) is a company that has a number of computers and connections to satellites, that give it continuous access to the internet. AOL and tiscali are examples of web servers. You use them to connect to the Net and gain access to your emails etc.

A web site or website is a document or collection of documents, presented in a format that allows them to be accessed on the internet. They may be created for purposes of entertainment, information or business just as paper documants are. BlurtIt, for instance, which is where we are at this moment, is a website.
