as of sept 3, 2008 the following are scrap metal prices for copper
 
No.1 bare brite copper wire    $3.03 per lbs
No. 1 copper wire  2.90 per lbs
No. 2 copper wire scrap    $2.63 per pound
 
You can convert the lbs in tons, MT, etc.
