    Cheltenham is a borough in Gloucestershire, England. The average population of the town is around 110,013 according to the census conducted in the year 2001. The people of this town are fondly referred as "Cheltonian" and the motto of the town is: Salubritas et Eruditio.
    The town is situated at the edge of Cotswolds, it has an image of being a 'respectable', wealthy or simply posh town. Cheltenham is famous across the globe for its horse racing, Cheltenham Racecourse, situated in the colony of Prestbury, is the base of National Hunt racing in UK. The Cheltenham Gold cup kept during the season draws maximum attention, it is usually held during the month of March. The town also has a local football team called the Cheltenham Town F.C. which recently had considerable amount of success.
