    Skin cancer is divided in to 2 major types
    1. Skin cancer due to melanoma
    2. Skin cancer due to non melanoma
    Melanoma: Is the malignant tumor of melanocytes. Exposure to sunlight is major reason. The tumors are found on skin, eyes and mucus membrane. Metastasis to liver and lymph node is common.
    Non melanoma skin cancer: These are of 2 types
    1. Basal cell cancer: This skin cancer is characterized by the formation of small, shining and pale lump usually on back and chest.
    2. Squamous cell cancer: This cancer is characterized by formation fishy scales, formation of red and hard mole, formation of bleeding sore and formation of rough and scaly patches. Some flat patches are also formed near brown area of the skin
