In case you have an ice cream maker all you need is the necessary ingredients of the ice cream to be added to the central compartment and add salt and ice all around. In case you don't have one of these cool gadgets you will have to place the ingredients as per the recipe in a container and place the same in a freezer. At the start you will have to use a blender to really stir up the mix to give it a nice froth and continue to blend every fifteen minutes till it is done. Here's a good recipe for vanilla ice cream. All you need is to mix a quart of half-and-half, a tablespoon and a half of vanilla extract, powdered sugar (around one cup) and half a cup of whipped cream.
