If One Is Told To Complain About Noise Can They Be Evicted?
When we moved in the place we are in they said if there is loud noise from 10 pm to 8 am tell the manager and they will take care if it. But instead they gave us a 60 notice to vacate because of the complaints - can they do this?????
Too much noise can reduce the quality of life and in some extreme cases, noise can destroy neighbourhood relations. Am surprised that probably out of good intentions, you have been instead advised to move. Normally for this to happen there must have been full investigations which you should have access to. It is difficult to believe this but try and establish if you have any right of appeal to this matter because from your expression, it appears you acted upon instructions which are being agained turned around. Hope this can help. Good luck.
No if they are trying to evict you and you are not the one making the noise there is nothing they can do let them take you to court i am sure the judge could use a good laugh!!!!!!!!!!and make sure you write down what they say and what you say and the complaints you made and bring them to court.Let the judge know that you were told to call the manager if you had any complaints.remember WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING!!!!!!! Best of luck to you!
