My shih-tzu dog had a fit she like goes all stiff and is very unbalanced and falls over. The fit normally lasts around 2-5minutes, after she finished having the fit she vomits. My dog is only 7year old

It sounds like you may describing a seizure. When dogs seizure they lose control/consciousness, fall down, get stiff, may start paddling, lose their bowels and foam at the mouth. Seizures can last several seconds to minutes and in severe cases need emergency medical intervention to stop the seizure.
This is very abnormal behavior. Your dog needs to see a veterinarian to determine if there these are seizures, make sure there is not a medical cause, and start anti-convulsants or other appropriate treatment.
If your dog has an episode before your appointment with your veterinarian video tape it if you can.

I had an bulldog that did the same thing. Firstly is it an young dog or an old dog. My dog was old and was on heart pills for the last 4 years of her live. She had heart attacks and your dog sounds exactly like me dog.
If your dog is young then it might be a virus of some sort
