Why Does Everyone Answer A Question Which Has Already Been Answered By 1000's Of People?

Actually Hisdimple, the most answered question is from Jimspolice. He asked "How many zeros are in 1 trillion?" and it got like 130+ answers, half of them are wrong but whatever. And i think people do it to reassure the questioner and probably to get points too.

I have not once seen a question receive "thousands" of answers. I believe the record is somewhere in the 30s or 40s. And that question was posted as a lark, just to have fun. The whole idea is receive a knowledgeable answer. The first 10 answers may be wrong, ambiguous, nasty, not enough info. Etc. The more answers, the better.

Friend here 1000's means a lot of answers.
I can understand if a question if of funny type or kind.

You asked the question in Blurtit>About Blurtit category. There was no mention of mathematics. "already been answered by 1000s of people", suggest the conontation that over 1000 people have answered a single question. Maybe this a problem with the English language?
If you notice some questions have been on for over a year and has not been deleted and the person that asked the question may not be still a member of the site........

If it was a math question, and the first answer was right, Then perhaps the others were answering simply for the points, or maybe they knew a different method to GET to that same answer.

If questioner doesn't able to understand such answer then he or she can also post a comment and ask others for such questions.
Here Mati, i'm more emphasising on such irrelevent questions which were asked.
It's better to have more answers ( 4-5 ) on some real question than fake ones.
