    The area of Indianapolis is 953.5 square kilometers and out of which, 936.2 square kilometers is land and 17.3 square kilometers is water.
          
    Indianapolis is the capital city of Indiana and also its largest city. It is also the county seat of Marion County and the most populous city in Indiana with a population of 791,926.
             
    Indianapolis is the city that managed to get rid of the tag of Rust Belt and its reputation is more for its sports culture. The annual race in Indianapolis is quite well known and the city also hosted the Pan American Games in the year 1987.
          
    People have assigned some nick names also to the city and that include Nap town or The Nap, Circle City, Indy and The 317.
