What Repercussions Could Rahul Gandhi's Comments Have On The Pak-India's Peace Process?

Answer Question

Rahul Gandhi, son of Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, grandson of Indira Gandhi and great grandson of Pundit Jawahir Nehru has recently entered politics and has already made headlines all around the world with the impression of his initial comments in the speech that he has made.

In the flow of emotions, the hot-bloodied young politician was too keen to make his point, enunciating the legacy of his family in the history of India.  It was a favourable and thoughtful approach to gain recognition as he declared the significance of Nehru's role in the Independence movement.  Furthermore even the mention of his father and his part in enabling India enter the age of technology and advancements were a prudent move.  But the clunker that he committed by mentioning the role of his grandmother Indira Gandhi in breaking Pakistan has ironically belied India's long-standing stance about the entire matter that clearly states that India had no direct or indirect hand in promoting the creation of Bangladesh.  It was just the result of circumstances that it had to take military action for its own safety.

This paradoxical twist in standpoints is definitely not a very sagacious move as far as India's foreign policy is concerned.
