Simon & Schuster is the name of a publishing house based in New York. This publishing house has been in existence since 1924. Richard L Simon and M. Lincoln Schuster more popularly known as Max are the founding members of this publishing house. This publishing house is very well known for publishing several books of crosswords and puzzles. Since then it has grown leaps and bounds.
Now this publishing house deals with all sorts of books and the recent book by Johanna Lindsey, the famous American author of historical romances was published by Simon & Schuster. Some of the other famous authors whose books have been published by Simon & Schuster include Stephen King, Mary Higgins Clark, Jimmy Carter, Michael Moore and Hillary Clinton. Simon & Schuster also founded Pocket Books which is the first paperback publisher of America.
