Pie charts are relatively straightforward but in IELTS they are not like that. You first need to describe the segment and their values.If there are many values in the pie chart then you should describe the ones that are the most significant. You should also be aware of the scale you would be using in describing the values. Most of the time the scale is percentage in pie chart.
