    Hey Will,

So sorry to hear that you're in this predicament, but it is ok. If your parents have bad credit it just means you may not want to use them as a co-signer (you can... But you probably shouldn't) and you may want to ask someone else in your family if they'll co-sign for you. You actually don't even technically need a co-signer, but it does help a ton (especially if you don't have any credit history).
With private loans, you definitely want to make sure you're looking around and comparing rates; when it comes to loans there's no real "best place," it's about finding the loan that's best for you now and the loan that's best for you in the long run. I represent www.TuitionBids.com a company that lets you apply once and get offers from up to six different lenders. Hopefully, it will help you out when looking for a private loan.
Something else to keep in mind are your federal loan options (I'm speaking about USA specifics; I'm not sure how it works elsewhere). If you apply for the FAFSA you can see what the government will be willing to offer you and they don't check credit.
    Hope this helps you out!
    Best wishes,
    Katelyn
