If you don't know you should probably take it to a service department that has this expertise. Most cars today are not as they were years ago with shade tree mechanics capable of repairing items. Vehicles today are highly complex and require the expertise needed for repair.

On my model, there is a diagram that shows you exactly how to thread machine. The front panel opens, and the diagram is inside it.
