What GCSEs Do I Need To Take If I Want To Be A Vet?

    Answers

Veterinary degrees are offered through out the United Kingdom. To become a vet you need to go to college after your GCSEs and take certain subjects. You should then study Veterinary Medicine at the university, which can take five years.

Most universities deem it important for the applicant to have at least a C grade pass in Science, Maths and English language. It is important to pass with A-grades at GCSE. When A-level Physics or Biology is not offered, you must have good passing marks in that subject at GCSE level. To practice in the UK, the vet surgeons must be registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.

Anyone aspiring for a career as a Veterinary Nurse should have 5 GCSE's including English language, a science, and maths at C or above. It is better to take a range of subjects at GCSE and aspire for 5As including in Science, and at least a B in Maths and English
