How Are Directors Disqualified In The UK?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

If you meant  the disqualification of a director who has served on the board of a company, it is a court that decides the disqualification of the director. According to the disqualification Act 1986, the  court is allowed to make a disqualification order to a director of a company that is insolvent, when the court thinks that the director's conduct with regard to the affairs of the company is not good when you are comparing it with the director of a company that is operating in the same area in some other company.

The number of disqualifications that have occurred in the recent past  stands around two thousand eight hundred. But one thing is unique about the procedure of disqualification, which is that it can be achieved by taking orders from court only and not otherwise.
