What Is Comprehensive Insurance?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The phrase comprehensive insurance would mean a term which can be used to refer to a wide range of insurance policies which offer broad protection. However, the term is particularly used in car in car insurance where it refer to coverage which pays to either repair or even replace your (that is, the policy owner's) vehicle as well as personal property that was inside this vehicle, if it the damage or loss occurred as a result of other agents, like theft, possibly fire, flood, or simply vandalism.

Note that in these cases it is possible that an insurance deductible could apply, as per the insured's requests made at the commencement of the policy. You will find that in the majority of the states comprehensive insurance is an optional coverage, not (as a rule) a required coverage.
