When Was Slang Recorded And Released?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Slang was the eighth studio album releases by the British rock band called Def Leppard. The recording of the album started somewhere in the year 1995. It was recorded partly in Spain and the Fine Bow Lane Studios is Dublin, Ireland. The album was released on the 13th of May 1996.

Although the album worked moderately well, Slang was considered as a huge disappointment in the United Kingdom. The band had re-worked its sound that they had almost held on to a decade.
The use of Indian Instruments and the Semi Acoustic drum kit showed, the more slow and deep thinking side of Def Leppard.

Slang was the only Def Leppard to achieve Platinum Sales in the United States. However it did go platinum in Canada. Lyrically and sound wise Slang was a very dark album. Eleven years after the release of Slang, the fans on the official website say that 'Slang is Def Leppards darkest and richest album ever'.
