Depending on whether you are talking about on a puppy or a dog I would suggest on a puppy, PUPPY flea & tick shampoo and nothing stronger and do not mix this with any other form of treatment unless directed by a vet and be sure to follow the bathing instructions on the bottle as directed. If you have a tick infested dog, you should use DOG flea and tick shampoo and follow the directions as directed. DO NOT MIX with other types of treatments unless directed by a vet. The shampoo will almost kill the ticks on contact and then you may want to follow the shampooing with a flea comb or other small toothed comb. Dips and other treatments may be extremely toxic for dogs and cats puppies and kittens so make sure you do not to combination treatments.

Put garlic powder in their dog food twice or three times a week. The ticks and fleas can't stand it and they automatically die

I was told that garlic is toxic to canine. Won't spreading garlic powder on thier food kill them?
Wouldn't you use like a drip or spray thing that kills all insects harmful to dogs :D please rate :P
