Not just because you're a Satanist. Respect is earned, and no one should respect someone without their having earned it. Please don't think that I'm picking on you, I treat everyone that way. As an atheist I have learned to be rather practical. All sorts of people demand respect for their beliefs, but have yet to bother to earn any. My question is: If people are given respect without their ever having earned it then does that not make respect in itself cheap, common, and unspecial?

In that case, I accept that you have the right to your own mind, your own beliefs, and your own life.
I can see and respect that other people's beliefs are different. But then I always ask if they've truly researched what they say they believe, or simply claim what they've been grown up with or what fits them best.
Why believe something based on given knowledge or what's comfortable? LEARN and STUDY what is TRUE for yourself. After all, when you see the end all differences for different beliefs, some results could be pretty drastic if they're true.

I respect each person's right to choose his/her own path in life, so long as they don't try to force their beliefs on everyone else. As a Pagan/Heathen, I think I can understand where you're coming from (being different?), especially since I currently live in a predominantly Christian area where proselytizers frequently go door-to-door trying to convert people.

I respect the fact that you can believe what you want, as to that I can hold to my own beliefs.
But all respect stops there... Like Locke said (he & I agree on only about 50% of the answers here, but this is definitely one on them) how can you be a satanist and not believe in satan? How can I respect that? And why would I respect anyone who conveys the principles of destruction and evil?

OK, help me out here: There is only freewill & obedience; equating freewill to disobedience. Obedience to... The law? The law is love, so disobedience to the law is hate. There is no good or evil, only love & hate; & strength is the way to...? FORCING obedience onto that which disagrees, so then freewill cannot exist? Obedience is then superficial because if forced creates resentment, or hate - a negative energy byproduct of freewill (which now doesn't exist), and what happens to this byproduct?
As long as you aren't gratuitously inflicting suffering on any living thing for your own amusement, I don't really need to know what your personal beliefs or non-beliefs are, thanks.

What is a Leveyan Satanist? What is a satanist? Does that mean you worship evil? How can a person worship something that hates them and everything that is good. His whole purpose is to bring as many people to hell with him. I'm a little confused do satanist know that when they die they will die in there sins and spend eternity in torment?

Satan in this case is used as a symbol for indulgence and making the most of the physical life as I understand it.
