What Is The Complication If A Bullet Is Lodged In The Liver- From A Stray Bullet?
My son got shot in the back and it travel and lodged in the liver caused by two men shooting at each other and he got shot by accident. The Doctors most likely
will leave the bullet but, if there are any complications
they will do surgery. What are the complications if theydo surgery or leave the lodged bullet?
Usually bullet shot in liver is left there. The surgery depends on the levels of damage done by the bullet. If the bullet has shatter the liver or spleen or gall bladder, then they will go for surgery. In severe case the liver transplant might be recommend. Pray for him that he might have not shattered his visceral organs
Thank you for the answer. The bullet did not damaged any organs. Thank God. However, my concern is if the bullet stays there will the liver be infected over the years. I am trying to research laparoscopic surgery which I have seen them removed
a cyst and tumor and therefore should be able to remove a bullet. Does anyone know of this procedure.
