    Kilo is the name given to Kilogram in some parts of the world. It is basically the base unit of mass according to the International System of Units. It is considered as equivalent to the mass of the International Prototype Kilogram that equals the mass of one liter of water.

    In everyday terms, kilogram measure is used for the weight of an object. One kilogram is equal to 2.20 pounds.
